Here’s an excellent side dish to compliment almost any pork dish you desire. Very easy to put together and delivers a delightful flavor.
- 1 medium head of red or white cabbage
- 1 tablespoon of oil or two strips of bacon chop
- 1/2 cup of vine
- 1/2 cup water
- caraway seeds
1 Shred the cabbage as finely as possible. Soak the cabbage in boiling water for 10 minutes. After you are finished soaking, drain the water.
2Next, prepare marinade with oil and seasoning and let cabbage soak in this for an hour or more.
3If you decide to substitute the bacon for the oil, prepare marinade from vinegar, water and seasoning. Fry bacon and add bacon and fat while still hot, just before serving.
